SEEC 2018: February 16 & 17, 2018
The Second Annual Southeast Entrepreneurship Conference hosted in Chattanooga, TN was a success! Previously, the conference has been hosted in Tampa, FL. Participants from Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, and more came together on UTC's campus for the event. Many Chattanooga business professionals participated as conference speakers and networkers. They represented the following local companies: The CPR LifeWrap, Stone Bridge Asset Management, TVFCU, Pass It Down, BrightBridge, Ambition, Ryan Russell Marketing, CO.LAB, Dynamo Accelerator & Fund, Leroy Law Firm, Bellhops, and more! An inspiring morning keynote was provided by Marcus Shaw of CO.LAB.
This year’s conference also included a panel discussion, Empowered Entrepreneurs: Inspiration for the Next Generation, with Black entrepreneurs from a variety of industries. Panelists discussed what inspires them, the challenges they’ve faced and their success stories.
“The 2018 Southeast Entrepreneurship Conference was a tremendous success! Over 150 participants gathered at UTC to celebrate entrepreneurship. In addition to UTC students, we had representatives from eight other colleges and universities across the southeast in attendance. A huge thank you to all of the support from the Chattanooga entrepreneurship community. Thanks to your expertise and assistance, we were able to put on an amazing conference for these college entrepreneurs,” said Dr. Bev Brockman, Head of the Dept. of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at UTC.
Students from various universities, including UTC, participated in the Launch TN Pitch Competition (a venture pitch competition for students attending the conference). See the SEEC 2018 Launch TN Pitch Competition Winners pictured below.
