Dr. Deborah A. McAllister

Deborah McAllister is a tenured Professor in the UTC School of Education, with responsibilities in mathematics education, educational technology, educational psychology, and action research. She is the 2014 recipient of UTC's Outstanding University Service Award. As of 2016, she has completed 23 years on the UTC faculty. Prior to joining the UTC faculty, she taught for 1 year at the University of South Dakota, and 13 years at the high school level, in Kansas and Massachusetts. She is licensed to teach mathematics and biology in grades 7-12, in Tennessee. She holds the B.S. degree in Zoology, from the University of Massachusetts, and the M.S.Ed. degree in Educational Psychology and Research, and the Ed.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction, from the University of Kansas.
