Todd has a B.S. in Business Administration with a double concentration in General Management and Human Resource Management and an M.B.A. from UTC. Todd is also a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Compensation Management Specialist (CMS). Prior to returning to his alma mater to work in the Office of Human Resources, Todd served as the HR Director for the City of Chattanooga. Todd’s HR experience also includes serving as a Personnel Administration Sergeant in the United States Army, an HR leader for a long term acute care hospital, a compensation and benefits manager for two large, multi-state transportation companies and as a member of the executive HR team for a state-wide nonprofit. Todd is also an adjunct faculty member for the UTC College of Business. In his free time, Todd spends as much time as possible with his wife, Emily, and two daughters, Sophia and Olivia. He is an Elvis fan, collects PEZ dispensers and enjoys riding in his 1963 Imperial Convertible.
A Competitive Edge: The Case for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
This session will discuss how strategic and intentional approaches to equity, diversity and inclusion can have an impact on the success and sustainability of an organization, and result in competitive advantages. Participants will explore practical and effective tools and techniques for engagement and empowerment in advancing the ideals of equity, diversity and inclusion. In addition, the session will prepare and reinforce skills for incorporating equity and fairness in the evaluation process.
