Originally from Dandridge, TN, Laura Cagle has called Chattanooga home since 2007. She is a two-time UTC graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration: Marketing (2011) and a Master's degree in Business Administration (2013). While a student at UTC, Laura was involved in Student Government Association, Student Foundation, Up 'til Dawn, Homecoming Committee, and served as an Orientation Leader. While in the MBA program, Laura was a graduate assistant in the Chancellor's Office, as well as in Student Affairs. Before joining the Chancellor's Office staff full-time in November 2013, Ms. Cagle managed marketing and sales for a private event company in Chattanooga. Laura is active in the Chattanooga community and enjoys exploring all that her city has to offer with her faithful sidekick - her dog, Sophie. As a downtown homeowner, she is proud to live in such a vibrant and growing city and to work at Chattanooga's university.
Planning Inclusive Events: How to Do It and Why It's Important

This session will go beyond the basics of event planning and highlight some important items to consider when planning any kind of event, including simple meetings. Planning a successful event is more than just checking off a list of token to-do's, and we will cover some of the lesser thought of tasks to consider.
