Jill is the Coordinator of Programs and Events for the Chancellor’s Office at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a Master of Arts from Lee University. While at UT Knoxville, Jill was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Jill’s career in planning and implementing events began with the 1996 Centennial Olympics, where she worked at the canoe and kayak slalom venue on the Ocoee River. From there, Jill went on to plan events for Riverbend/Friends of the Festival, the Nantahala Outdoor Center and Western Carolina University. In 2011, Jill and her two children moved back to her hometown of Cleveland, TN. They enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and being with family.
Planning Inclusive Events: How to Do It and Why It's Important

This session will go beyond the basics of event planning and highlight some important items to consider when planning any kind of event, including simple meetings. Planning a successful event is more than just checking off a list of token to-do's, and we will cover some of the lesser thought of tasks to consider.
