Info: Join UTC Outdoors and UTOP for a joint university winter break ski trip! This year, we are going to Breckenridge, Colorado. With 5 different peaks, nearly 3,000 acres, 35 lifts and 187 named trails to explore, there is plenty of mountain to carve!
The resort has a base elevation of 9,600 feet, summit of 12,998 feet and receives and average of 355 inches of snowfall each year. Once you are off the mountain for the day, the resort and surrounding areas have a nice collection of mountain-living experiences to complement your shredding.

Accommodations & Maximum Occupancy
We will be staying in condos at the base of the slopes, at the Beaver Run Resort. Each condo has it's own full kitchen.
This trip is based on maximum occupancy. There is a 100% chance you will have to share a room/bed. The trip leader will work with each group in an attempt to secure the most appropriate sleeping situation for them.

Breckenridge is a part of the EPIC pass. All participants will be given a unique code to purchase their own EPIC pass for the trip. You can purchase up to a 4 day pass.
3 day EPIC passes retail for ~$350
4 Day EPIC passes retail for ~$415
If you already have an EPIC pass, no need to purchase one through us.
Rental Information
Each person will have the opportunity to rent skis/snowboards and helmets, as well as a lesson. There are multiple rental options on and off the mountain.
If you are interested in a lesson or rentals, you need to set that up yourself. Early online booking gets you the cheapest price, and you'll need to book online at least 72 hours in advance.

Registration Does NOT Include:
Rentals, lessons, meals (outside of the one group meal), transportation to Denver International Airport (DEN) before trip or from Denver International Airport after the trip. All info on booking lessons and rentals can be found below, and there are ample options for food at the resort. You can eat out, or go grocery shopping (each condo has a full kitchen).
Everyone will be responsible for arranging their own flight to/from DEN.
Trip Registration Cost Includes:
5 nights of accommodations at Beaver Run Resort, right at the base of the slopes. Transportation from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Breckenridge and back on private shuttles. Discount code to purchase 4 day EPIC pass, one group meal, cooked by UTOP staff (with love).

Please note that this cost includes a non-refundable $100 deposit.

Registration & Refund Deadlines
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is included in your registration costs. If you choose to cancel your registration before the cancelation deadline (September 29th at 5pm), you will be refunded your payments, less the $100 deposit. The registration deadline for the trip is September 30th at 11:59pm. The refund deadline for the trip is September 29th at 5pm. All balances are due by November 1st at 5pm.

Travel Details
All trip participants will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to Denver International Airport (DEN) at the beginning of the trip, and from DEN at the end of the trip. Flying is the natural choice for this trip, but how you get there is up to you. UTOP will arrange all details beginning and ending at DEN.
The cheapest time to purchase flights are typically 3 months before the flight.

When to Arrive In DEN at the beginning of the trip
12/12 by 1pm. Our vans depart the airport at 2 pm.
When to expect to arrive back at DEN at the end of the trip
12/17 at 11am. Our vans will arrive at DEN at 11 am.

Registration Information:
Registration: To register, use the link below or visit the UTC Outdoors Center in the Aquatic and Recreation Center.
Cancellation Info: Once payment for trips are received, partial refunds may be given if participant cancels by the registration deadline, typically 21 days before the trip. Refunds consist of 50% of the trip cost for cancellations. Cancellations made after the registration deadline will not be considered for a refund. To apply for a refund, the participant will need to complete the 'Customer Refund Request' form. UTC Outdoors reserve the right to cancel a program due to inclement weather, natural disasters, lack of participation, or extenuating circumstances. In the event we must cancel a program, a full trip refund will be provided automatically.
Note: These are high adventure activities so please be aware that there are risks involved. UTC Outdoors strives to minimize these risks, but not all elements of risk can be eliminated. To prevent any problems, follow all instructions given by the trip leaders; follow all safety guidelines and regulations. Upon registration, we will send your more information and paperwork. Please read, fill out, sign and date the trip health form and hold harmless agreement. Your information will remain private.
