Admission to Degree Candidacy

Following the successful passage of both the Comprehensive Assessment and LEAD 7700 Pre-Dissertation Seminar, the Program Office will submit the Examination Results Form to the Graduate School, and the participant will be classifed as a doctoral degree candidate who is ready to transition to the Dissertation stage. 

Eligibility requirements for admission to degree candidacy:

  • Academic good standing

  • Successful completion of all core and elective course work and LEAD 7700 Pre-Dissertation Seminar (54 doctoral credit hours minimum Ed.D./60 doctoral credit hours minimum Ph.D.)

  • Successful achievement of a cumulative program GPA of 3.0 or above with no more than two grades below a “B” grade

  • Successful defense of the Comprehensive Assessment
