Monday, August 10th

See emails from housing regarding the check-in process.

Come see us! Check-in with Mosaic at the University Center front circle (you can drive through without having to get out of your car). We will provide you with a move-in kit and a t-shirt for returning students! You can choose to come before you check-in with housing or before you start moving it.

How to Get to the University Center:

Tuesday August 11th

1-1:30pm: Virtual UTC Executive Leadership Greeting (All Students & Parents- Mandatory)

Greeting from Chancellor Angle and Dr. Freeman (Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs)

1:30-2:30pm: Virtual Welcome to Mosaic (All Students & Parents- Mandatory) 

Team introductions and overview of what various Mosaic components will look like this semester

3-4:30pm: Virtual Campus Partners Presentations (All Students & Parents- Mandatory)

Representatives from Student Engagement (Laura Petrus/Elena-Grace Anderson), Student Health Services (Dr. Yasmine Key), and Counseling Center (Dr. Britt Cusack and Amber Dennison) will give brief presentations and answer questions.

6-8pm: Cohort Pizza Parties (All Students- Mandatory)

Join us on Chamberlain Field for a social distance hangout. Pizza and drinks will be provided)

 

Wednesday, August 12th

11-12pm: Virtual Mosaic Events Committee Presentation (All Students & Parents)

Presentation from Mosaic Events Committee student leaders discussing events, how to get involved, how to propose a future event, etc.

1-2pm: Virtual Mosaic Ambassadors Q&A (All Students & Parents)

A panel of current Mosaic students will answer any questions about their experiences, provide advice for incoming students, etc.

2:30-3:30: Virtual Cohort Connections (All Students)

Each cohort will break off into breakout rooms to discuss what the semester will look like

5-7PM: Virtual Parent Transition Workshop/Parent Q&A (Parents Only)

Michelle will provide a budget update. Following the update, current and former Mosaic parents will lead a Q&A discussion. No staff will be present so feel free to ask any questions! 

7PM: Virtual Game Night  (All Students- Optional)

The Mosaic Events Committee is hosting a game night. There will be different game options available.

 

 

Thursday, August 13th

10:30-12 pm: Virtual Library Overview (New Students- Mandatory)

Overview of services available through the library

 1-2pm: Virtual Writing Center Overview (New Students- Mandatory)

Overview of Writing Center services and scheduling process

3-4pm: Virtual Training- Getting Ready for the Semester: Executive Functioning Strategies (All Students- Mandatory)

Overview of executive functioning strategies to help you get ready for the semester.

7pm: Movie Night  (All Students- Optional)

Mosaic Events Committee is hosting a movie night for Toy Story 3.

 

Friday, August 14th

10am-12pm: Walking Tour of classroom buildings (All Students- Optional)

Mosaic staff will be leading tours of various classroom building so that students can familiarize themselves with the location of their classes.

2-3:30pm: DRC Accommodations Group Training (New Students- Required)

Disability Resource Center Staff will host a training outlining how to navigate the online Accommodations portal.

6-8pm: Pool Party  (All Students- Optional)
