Fall Family Weekend 2017

Friday, September 15 - Sunday, September 17

Fall Family Weekend is the ideal opportunity for families to spend time with their student, meet his or her friends, visit with administrators and faculty, and learn more about the services and resources available on campus.  Plus, you'll get a chance to catch our Mocs Football team in action as they take on UT-Martin for their first home game of the season on Saturday, September 16.  The full schedule of events is listed below.

2017 Schedule of Events

Friday, September 15

Kick off your Fall Family Weekend experience at our Welcome Reception in the IMAX Great Hall & Theater at the Tennessee Aquarium. Enjoy appetizers and drinks as you network with other families, members of the UTC Faculty Senate and staff from the Division of Student Development.  Make sure to stick around for a special screening of the movie Island of Lemurs: Madagascar 3D.

NOTE:  Parking is available for attendees at the Tennessee Aquarium main parking lot at no additional cost.

Saturday, September 16

Get ready for the big game with the Parent & Family Association at our annual tailgate in the First Tennessee Pavilion.  Food and refreshments will be provided.

NOTE:  Parking around the Pavilion is an additional cost and usually ranges between $5 and $15 depending on the lot (cash only).  

Location:  Finley Stadium - 1826 Carter Street

Grab your seats for the game early and watch our newest Mocs from the Class of 2021 run across the football field prior to kick-off.  If your freshman wants to participate, line up will begin at 5:15pm at the EPB Student Gate located on Chestnut Street.  All student participants will receive a t-shirt and Power C socks.

Join us in the stands as we cheer on our Mocs to victory at their first home game of the season again UT-Martin.  Your student can use their UTC ID to swipe into the game free of charge.

Sunday, September 17

Before you depart for home, attend our Farewell Brunch with your student and representatives from the Division of Student Development in the University Center.  It's a great way to cap off your weekend on campus.

**UTC Students are allowed to attend for FREE.  Make sure to indicate if your student will attend on your registration form.**

Registration closes on Friday, September 1 at 9:00pm.

Refund Policy

In order to receive a full refund for any event/program sponsored by the UTC Parent & Family Association, a written refund request must be submitted via email to utcparents@utc.edu no later than two weeks prior to the start of the program.  No requests will be accepted in person or via telephone. Refund requests should include the following information:

  • Participant’s Name
  • Event/Program Name
  • Event/Program Date
  • Reason for no longer attending
  • Name of payee being reimbursed
  • University ID (if participant is a student)

Approved refunds will be processed within one week of approval.  Requests made after the two week deadline cannot be honored due to ordering of food, supplies, etc.  If a participant fails to attend their registered event, no refund will be given.

  • Take I-75 toward Chattanooga
  • Merge onto I-24 W via Exit 2
  • Merge onto US-27 N via Exit 178

  • Go approximately 1 mile and make a right onto Mabel Street
    • McKenzie Arena will be on your right just before Mabel Street
  • Mabel Street will become E. 5th Street

Parking for the University Center is located along E. 5th Street (if available) or in the E. 5th Street Parking Garage.  When parking along E. 5th Street you should not park on any yellow curbs.
