 Fall Family Weekend is the ideal opportunity for families to spend time with their student, explore Chattanooga, and enjoy a weekend of great events that showcase what UTC has to offer.  Plus, you'll get a chance to catch our Mocs Football team in action as they take on Samford University.  The full schedule of events is listed below.

Friday, September 21

Kick off your Fall Family Weekend experience at our Welcome Reception at the Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall. Get excited for the weekend as you spend the evening socializing with other families and University administrators. 

*Distillery tours will be available for guests aged 21 and above.

NOTE:  Parking is available for attendees at no additional cost.

Saturday, September 22

Join the Parent & Family Association for a free day at the Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park during the City of Chattanooga's 14th Annual GO! Fest Celebration.

GO! Fest is part of an initiative created to help make Chattanooga more accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability.  Admission is FREE for all guests.  Make sure to stop the Parent & Family Association table to retrieve your tickets for the evening football game against Samford (if you didn't attend the Welcome Reception).

Location: The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park - 301 N Holtzclaw Ave

Get ready for the big game with the Parent & Family Association at our annual tailgate in the First Tennessee Pavilion.  Food and refreshments will be provided.

NOTE:  Parking around the Pavilion is an additional cost and usually ranges between $5 and $15 depending on the lot (cash only).

Join us in the stands as we cheer on our Mocs to victory again Samford University.  Your student can use their UTC ID to swipe into the game free of charge.

Welcome Reception GO! Fest at the Chattanooga Zoo PFA Tailgate UTC v. Samford Football Game
$25 per person FREE $18 per person $10 per person
Includes appetizers, refreshments and parking at the Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall Admission is FREE for all guests to explore the Zoo Includes a catered meal and refreshments at the tailgate  Tickets to the UTC v. Samford Football Game
**UTC Students are allowed to attend for FREE.  Make sure to indicate if your student will attend on your registration form BUT do not include them in your final number on the payment page.**

Registration closes on Wednesday, September 5 at 12:00pm EST.

Refund Policy

In order to receive a full refund for any event/program sponsored by the UTC Parent & Family Association, a written refund request must be submitted via email to utcparents@utc.edu no later than two weeks prior to the start of the program.  No requests will be accepted in person or via telephone. Refund requests should include the following information:

  • Participant’s Name
  • Event/Program Name
  • Event/Program Date
  • Reason for no longer attending
  • Name of payee being reimbursed
  • University ID (if participant is a student)

Approved refunds will be processed within one week of approval.  Requests made after the two week deadline cannot be honored due to ordering of food, supplies, etc.  If a participant fails to attend their registered event, no refund will be given.

Once you enter your preferred dates (September 21 & 22), the group pricing will appear.  No deposit is required.  These rooms are available at the group rate until the room block has been filled or until September 1, after which their standard rate and availability restrictions will apply.

The majority of events this weekend will take place in the University Center and it is easily accessible to anyone coming to campus.

  • Take I-75 toward Chattanooga
  • Merge onto I-24 W via Exit 2
  • Merge onto US-27 N via Exit 178

  • Go approximately 1 mile and make a right onto Mabel Street
    • McKenzie Arena will be on your right just before Mabel Street
  • Mabel Street will become E. 5th Street

 Coming From Nashville

  • Take I-24 E toward Chattanooga

Parking for the University Center is located along E. 5th Street (if available) or in the E. 5th Street Parking Garage.  When parking along E. 5th Street you should not park on any yellow curbs.
