Congratulations
to Scholars in Residence
Over 600 students who live in UTC housing and made the Dean’s
List will be recognized during the 14th Annual Scholars in Residence ceremony
on Monday, February 16 at 4 p.m. in Patten Chapel.
“We are especially proud of the increase in those students being
recognized:
there are one hundred more Scholars in Residence honorees than last year! “ said
LaTessa Hill, Resident Director of Lockmiller Apartments. “The
Housing Department would also like to highlight the combined efforts
of all UTC professors and staff who strive to provide students with opportunities
for academic and personal success.”
Tennessee Representative Tommie Brown will be the keynote speaker. She
will
address honorees and their parents on the importance of academic excellence,
civic duty and community involvement.
The Scholars in Residence Honors Program was initiated in 1990 to recognize
on-campus students who excelled academically. The tradition continues
for promoting and honoring scholastic achievement of residents.
Any questions or concerns regarding this event may be forwarded to LaTessa
Hill, Resident Director of Lockmiller Apartments.
