Porky’s Open Golf Tournament Raises Over $110,000

The fifth annual Porky’s Open Golf Tournament raised over $110,000 for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Blue and Gold Club Scholarship Fund this year. The tournament, held April 27, is a privately supported event that donates its efforts and funds for student athletes at UTC.

The tournament, which has raised over $300,000 in the past five years, was named in honor of Frank Kinser, this year’s Tournament Host and one of UTC’s most loyal supporters. Other committee members include Doug Thigpen, Tournament Chairman; Mike Davis, Corporate Sponsor chair; Karl Jones, Player Registration Chair; Larry McNair, Player Gift Chair; Danny Proctor, Hole Sponsor Chair; Phil Walker, Finance Chair; and Nancy Noblit, UTC Liaison.

“With the combined efforts of many of our friends, we were able to raise over $110,000 at this years event!” Nancy Noblit, Assistant Vice Chancellor for UTC Development, said.
