Theresa Liedtka

New Dean of Lupton Library named

The University announces the appointment of Theresa Liedtka, who has been named Dean of the Lupton Library at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. “Ms. Liedtka is presently the Assistant University Librarian at California State University at Fullerton. She will assume the duties of dean on June 15.”

Liedtka earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons College, and a Master of Liberal Studies from Georgetown University.

At California State University at Fullerton, Liedtka recently:

  • implemented a new database-driven website
  • provided electronic resources
  • and established a three-year infrastructure technology plan

Liedtka has been with California State University, Fullerton since July 2001, and she previously held library positions at Georgetown University.

She has been involved in a number of American Library Association Activities, and she currently serves as a member of the Association of College and Research Libraries, Copyright Committee. Liedtka was recently part of a team at California State University, Fullerton to coordinate “Let’s Do it!” Web Site Redesign: a Team-managed, Database Approach,” presented at the California Library Association Conference.

The position of Dean of the Lupton Library was last held by Dr. Sheila Delacroix, who returned to a faculty position. Mike Bell has served as Interim Dean for the last year.
