Chancellor Roger Brown and his wife, Dr. Carolyn Thompson, hosted the Chancellor’s Roundtable Year End Picnic to thank the members who served in 2006-2007, and welcome incoming 2007-2008 members.

“Carolyn and I are especially grateful to each of you for your support during our first year,” Brown said. “Your significance in serving as an advisory board to me is critical in the growth of both the Roundtable itself, but also to the future of our University.”

The Chancellor thanked Wade Hinton, 2006-2007 chairman of the Chancellor’s Roundtable, for his leadership. Hinton is an attorney with Miller Martin Law Firm.

“Wade has set the stage for the upcoming year by completing the Roundtable’s reorganization efforts as well as re-instituting the committee structure. This will aide the Roundtable as we concentrate on the implementation of the University’s strategic plan,” Brown said.

Outgoing members of the Chancellor’s Roundtable include:

Bob Bernhardt, Ruth Brinkley, Mike Butler, Eli Cameron, Gary Carver, Deborah Distefano, Bob Doak, Valerie Epstein, Deborah Harrison, David Fussell, Lydia Grafton, Ben Melnyczuk, Neil Thomas, and Rabbit Zielke.

Hinton handed off the gavel to incoming Chairman Rabbi Joshua Lief, Rabbi of the Mizpah Congregation.
