The UTC Graduate Studies Department will host University of Minnesota professor and Arctic trekker Dr. Aaron Doering on Friday, June 8, 6 p.m. in 114 Fletcher Hall as he delivers a multimedia presentation describing his latest GoNorth! trip through the Russian Arctic. Doering and a team of educators and scientists are dog sledding live to five circumpolar Arctic locations through 2010, educating a worldwide audience online. GoNorth! is a free adventure learning program for the K-12 classroom.

Doering's presentation will feature video and images from his Arctic treks, as well as compelling descriptions of his adventure learning curriculum, which makes education an adventure for the kids and teachers who "travel with him."
