Annual Juried Student Exhibition at the Cress

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Cress Gallery of Art presents the UTC Department of Art Annual Juried Student Exhibition. This exhibition, selected each year by an independent juror from a pool of entries, showcases work in a variety of media created by the department's student majors.

The juror is Hamlett Dobbins, artist and arts professional, and curator of the Clough-Hanson Gallery, Rhodes College, Memphis, Tennessee, where he also serves on the faculty of the Art Department.

Hamlett Dobbins will be on campus and in the community on January 24 and 25. He will lecture as part of the Association of Visual Arts MUSE lecture series, cosponsored by the UTC Department of Art, on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at 6 p.m. in Room 356 of the UTC Fine Arts Center.

Gallery hours: Monday and Friday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm; Tues, Wed., and Thursday 9:30 am - 7:00 pm.

The Gallery is also open during all Patten Series Performances.

Admission to the Gallery is free and open to all. Visitors to the Gallery may obtain a parking pass at the Facilities Bldg. on Palmetto Street; parking is free in any lot after 5:00pm. The Gallery is located in the lobby of the UTC Fine Arts Center located at the corner of Vine and Palmetto Streets.
