Women’s History Month lecture

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Dr. Mary Farrell Bednarowski, Professor of Religious Studies at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, will give a lecture on “Women’s Spirituality in Nineteenth and Twentieth-Century America” on Tuesday, March 7 at 2 p.m. in the Lookout Mountain Room, University Center.

Bednarowski is an authority on the history of religion and religious practice in the United States, as well as on women’s spirituality. She is the author of The Religious Imagination of American Women (Indiana University Press), New Religions and the Theological Imagination in America (Indiana University Press) and American Religion: A Cultural Perspective (Prentice-Hall). She has also published numerous articles in major journals.

The Women’s Studies Program is sponsoring Bednarowski. Her lecture is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
