Sacred Music of Duke Ellington

Two UTC students will join in a performance of Sacred Music of Duke Ellington at the First-Centenary United Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 28. Ryan Keith, pianist, and Michael Mitchell, tenor, will showcase their talents in a collaborative performance of the Chattanooga Choral Society for the Preservation of African American Song, The First-Centenary Chancel Choir, and The Chattanooga Scenic City Chorale (formerly Senior Neighbors Chorus).

The program will feature guest performer DeVonne Gardner, who performed the Sacred Services with both the Duke and his son Mercer.

The program is sponsored in part by Tennessee Arts Commission, Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, First-Centenary United Methodist Church, Alexian Brothers, and the UTC Holmberg Professorship. A $5 donation is suggested.
