High School Seniors and current college students invited to Super Goal Saturday

High school seniors, current college students, and their parents seeking financial help for college are invited to Super Goal Saturday.

Super Goal Saturday
Saturday, February 12
12 p.m.-4 p.m.

Free help will be available for filing income tax forms needed and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the financial aid form needed for college.

The Partnership for College Access and Success, comprised of various institutions and organizations including UTC, is sponsoring Super Goal Saturday at three convenient locations:

  • Hixson High
  • Howard School of Academics and Technology
  • Tyner Academy.

Licensed accountants and college and financial aid advisors will be accessible in all three locations to give high school seniors and their families free assistance in completing the form necessary to receive federal financial aid for college. Families will also get free help with income tax preparation in order to complete the FAFSA.

Super Goal Saturday is free to the public and open to all Hamilton County seniors and current college students whose families are eligible to file the 1040A and 1040EZ.

Participants will need to bring W2 forms for parents and students (if the student worked in 2004) and dependent information including social security numbers.

Filing the FAFSA form is also the first step in acquiring a Tennessee Lottery (Hope) Scholarship.

Contact Stacy Goodwin for more information at (423)265-9213.
