Patten Performances to begin Tuesday, September 13

You will not want to miss the Patten Performances’ season opener – modern dance as only Pilobolus Too can perform! Long-time Patten devotees will remember the stunning Pilobolus performance at UTC several years ago, and now the anticipation is growing for what the New York Times called “a jewel-like distillation of Pilobolus spirit and history.”

The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the UTC Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, September 13. Read more about this performance and future performances.

In 1979 The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga initiated the Dorothy Patten Fine Arts Series, now Patten Performances, to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists to our students and to the Chattanooga area.

Dorothy Patten was a Chattanooga performing artist who appeared in 30 Broadway plays, countless touring and summer stock productions, television programs and the movie Botony Bay, with Alan Ladd and James Mason.
