Graduation Celebration allows one-stop opportunity

Congratulations to our 2005 May and August graduates! You are invited to a “Graduation Celebration,” that will offer you a convenient opportunity to properly and easily prepare you for graduation. The “Graduation Celebration” for May and August graduates will be held in the UTC Bookstore in the University Center. Please attend the session on either Tuesday, March 15, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. or Wednesday, March 16 , 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Representatives from the UTC Bookstore and Herff Jones, Inc. will be there for you to purchase your cap and gown, as well as place orders for other graduation products. With the purchase of the cap and gown at this event comes a $15.00 discount. Students who make the purchase will take the cap and gown with them.

“The ‘Graduation Celebration,’ is sponsored by the UTC Young Alumni Council,” according to Jason Thomas, Young Alumni Council Chair. “This event provides the opportunity to check your graduation status, gather important graduation information, as well as information you may need as an alumnus of the university. Visit with current alumni and register for door prizes, such as a free diploma frame and two gift certificates redeemable at Southwest Airlines, compliments of Herff Jones, Inc.,” Thomas said.

Students and alumni have designed a ring that represents 100 years of tradition at UTC. This ring features the Bell Tower which adjoins Patten Chapel, a significant campus landmark, and a centerpiece of heritage and service which holds memories for all of us.
