Jan Evans is a Lecturer in the Engineering Management & Technology Department at UTC. Based on course offerings, conference papers and consultations, his expertise and research interests are in applied engineering in the areas of: Energy, Environmental, and Safety Management Systems; Ergonomics (including Occupational Analysis and Job Design); Facilities Planning and Design; Financial Engineering; Leadership and Team Building; Lean Transformations including Continuous Improvement and Balanced Scorecard) in both Manufacturing and Construction; Operational and Project Planning and Control (including MRP, ERP and SIS); Quality and Reliability Systems (including SPC and TQM); TPM (including Autonomous, Preventive, Predictive, and Reliability Centered Maintenance); and Work Methods and Standards. SME and a Quality Engineer by ASQ have certified him as a Manufacturing Engineer.
