Dr. Mengjun Xie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from College of William and Mary in 2010. From 2010 to 2018, he was an Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Computer Science at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. At UA Little Rock, he served as the Director of NSA/DHS Designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) and the Director of Computational Research Center. He was also the founder and adviser of UA Little Rock Cyber Security Club and the Coordinator of Master of Science in Computer Science program. His research interests lie in Cybersecurity, Cloud/Edge Computing, Mobile Computing, SDN & NFV, Social Network Analysis, Big Data Analytics, and Computer Education. His research has been funded internally and externally, including NSF, NSA, and Amazon AWS. He received Faculty Excellence Award in Research from College of Engineering and Information Technology at UA Little Rock in 2017.
