Dear ASCE Student Chapters:

We hope everyone is as excited as we are about the upcoming events!  We are putting the final touches on what we hope will be a fun and memorable experience for all in attendance.  This is your 3rd and final mailer. Included in this mailer is basic information regarding registration and a brief rundown of what to expect while here on campus.  Please make sure all attendees receive this email.

Thursday, March 19th
Registration will be on Thursday March 19th from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in the Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science (EMCS) Building- Room 426.  We are requesting that only one or two members from each chapter pick up registration packets.  The steel bridge visual display will be held at the Walnut Street Bridge, downtown Chattanooga, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.  You may begin dropping off and constructing your bridges at 2 pm.  All bridges should be complete by 4:00 P.M. The captains meeting will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel, downtown Chattanooga, from 7:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M.  Please be sure to inform the concrete canoe and steel bridge captains.

Friday, March 20th
Friday will be an extremely busy day beginning bright and early with concrete canoe drop offs starting at 6:00 A.M.  Canoe display will be held on campus at the Heritage Plaza and UTC Quad Area, and the steel bridge competition will be held in the Maclellan Gym, also on campus.  Additional competitions will be held at the UTC Library and various labs throughout the campus.  All information will be included in the program as well as each individual packet for registered participants.

Saturday, March 21st
Saturday will be yet another early and busy day.  Concrete canoe drop offs at Chester Frost Park will begin as soon as the park opens at 7:00 A.M.  It is our plan to have the safety boat in the water first thing in the morning to complete all the races on time, so everyone can get ready for the awards banquet. It is anticipated that the lake water temperature may hover around 60-65o, so we are recommending that paddlers don wet suits for the races.

We have a wonderful evening planned at the Chattanooga Convention Center for our awards banquet.  Business attire is suggested.

At each location, volunteers will be on hand to direct you.  Thurs/Fri: Parking for Walnut Street Bridge and Friday campus events is drop off.  Please have your bus driver drop off and pick up.  Buses may then park at Engel Stadium.  Cars and trucks may also park at Engel Stadium and participants may ride the Mocs Express to events on campus on Friday.  It picks up every 6 minutes between the hours of 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM.  Your ASCE 2015 conference name badge will allow you to ride for free.  Saturday: Please have your bus driver drop off and pick up.  Cars and trucks may park at Chester Frost Park. Mocs Express does not run on Saturday.

Staking Tents
If you plan to bring a tent for your Friday concrete Canoe display on campus, please note you may not "stake" tents on campus due to shallow water supply lines.  Schools are responsible for bringing weights to secure their tents.  See a volunteer if you have questions.  You may stake tents at Chester Frost Park on Saturday.
