Students admitted to UTC may declare business as their major.

Business majors are required to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor for advisement once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester before they will have their advising hold removed for registration.  (excludes orientation).

Students schedule appointments through SSC CAMPUS (Navigate). Once scheduled, a reminder email will be sent 24 hours prior to the appointment date and time. Appointments:

  • Must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hrs in advance
  • Must be canceled a minimum of 24 hrs in advance

Directions:

1) Log into MyMocsNet

2) Click on the Academics tab

3) Click on SSC CAMPUS (Navigate) link

NOTE: Select "Rollins College of Business" for the location

 

NOTE: Changing to a non-business major changes your advisor.  

1) Log into your MyMocsNet account.

2) Click on the Academics tab.

3) Click on the MyMocsDegree link in the My Degree Evaluation box.

4) Click on the "Save as PDF" button.

5) Click on the print icon to print or the save icon to save the file.

Students wishing to add, drop or change majors, minors or catalog years must submit a "Program Change Request" form to the Records Office. The form is located on the Records Home page.

Students who change to a major outside the Rollins College of Business are assigned an advisor under their new major.  

NOTE: Athletes and veterans are not eligible to submit program changes online. Athletes must consult with their athletic advisor; veterans must consult with their veteran’s benefits specialist.  

Students should apply for graduation before they register for their final semester. The Application for Graduation is located in MyMocsNet on the Academics Tab.

Applications must be submitted online by the following dates:

Spring Graduation     October 15th
Summer Awarding     March 15th
Fall Graduation           June 15th

After the deadline date, late applications may be submitted. A $50 late fee will be assessed. No late applications will be accepted after the following dates:

Spring Graduation     April 1st
Summer Awarding     July 5th
Fall Graduation          November 1st

Students who would like to register for any closed class (business or other) that offers an online automated waiting list should place their name on the online automated waiting list by adding the closed course to their registration "shopping cart", selecting "waitlisted-not registered" in the drop down menu, and then clicking "submit". 

  1. Students may not place their name on a waiting list while registered in an alternate section of the same course. 
  2. Once a waiting list is created, all open seats are reserved for students on the waiting list.
  3. Closed class overrides cannot be issued for classes with active waiting lists.
  4. Students should check their email daily, even during semester breaks, in case the system issues a closed class override.
  5. If the system issues an override, the student will be notified by UTC email and have 24-48 hours to update their registration.
  6. Students who do not update their registration during the 24-48 hour window are removed from the waiting list.

Business courses:

Students who receive "do not meet the prerequisite, co-requisite or test score" or "do not have enough hours to register" registration error messages when trying to register for a business course should fill out the College of Business Prerequisite Error Form

This EXCLUDES closed class messages.  

Note: This is not a request for a waiver of prerequisites or standing, but a request to have your record reviewed for equivalent or outstanding course work, including petitions, that meet the CURRENT prerequisites and are not being recognized by the computer prerequisite check program.

Students registered for prerequisite course work at another institution for the summer must provide a copy of their summer acceptance letter or summer registration to receive a prerequisite override for fall.  Students may email or fax their documents to:
