First Gen Connections
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Gary W. Rollins College of Business is focused on making sure first generation students have enriching experiences and are successful in meeting their academic and career goals. (At UTC, a first generation college student is someone whose parent(s) or guardian(s) did not receive a four-year degree.) First Gen Connections is a resource and interest group in the Rollins College of Business that helps first generation students connect with other first generation students, faculty and staff. Throughout the year we offer programs, events and other support to help our first generation students thrive.

Virtual Information Sessions
April 8, 15 & 22 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. EST
Amid the uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the challenges for first generation students and students in underrepresented populations are compounded as they are faced with housing and food insecurities, work and financial issues, and adapting to online learning with limited access to the technology needed to be successful.
During an online information session, you will learn about online resources and services available to you. This is a great opportunity to connect with other Rollins College of Business first generation students, faculty and staff to discuss issues as well as try to navigate through these new and uncertain times.
