MGT 5000/Special Topics in Management: Healthcare Management

Course Description: Explores the management of complex healthcare organizations including the impact of diverse employee and professional groups on work. Readings & class discussions focus on the understanding of key management functions (planning, staffing, & organization) within mission, financial, & regulatory constraints. Course will examine these functions & current issues faced by hospitals, clinics, & other healthcare entities. Current events & cases will be used by students to apply concepts discussed in class. Course does not require previous healthcare experience. 

 

MKT 5000/Special Topics in Marketing: Digital Marketing

Course Description: This course introduces students to the changing landscape of digital media and its use as a new tool in the marketing mix. The course will explore digital marketing in a tangible and conceptual manner, their appropriate use as part of a comprehensive marketing plan, and endeavor to give students a framework for adpating to the rapid changes in these mediums.

The ojective of this course is to provide knowledge of how to strategically think about deploying marketing initiatives through digital marketing. This course is aimed at students considering a career in the digital marketing fields in various sectors (writing, design, social media, SEO, email, search, etc.) or any profession where digital marketing can be applied.
