The Gary W. Rollins College of Business invites you to apply for the first annual 2020 Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP). This 5-day residential summer program is offered free of charge to all participants.
The program is open to school and/or community involved students who identify as a racial minority. Student applicants should be academically talented rising high school juniors or seniors (a junior or senior in the fall of 2020) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The program will focus on careers in Accounting and Finance while building a portfolio of skills including: collaboration, critical thinking, networking and overall professionalism. ACAP offers the opportunity to interact one-on-one with university professors and successful business professionals through a variety of hands-on workshops, field trips and seminars. In addition, students will get a preview of college life and the Chattanooga experience through recreational events that include athletic activities, a movie night, visits to area attractions and more.
The program includes visits to top employers of Rollins College of Business graduates. Program participants will explore the world of Accounting and Finance in interactive formats designed to provide insight into those disciplines and potential business career paths.
The program is completely free to participants and will include housing, meals, snacks, activities and transportation during the program. Students are responsible for their transportation to and from the UTC campus before the program begins and after the program concludes.
