Yes, you could potentially transfer up to 6 credit hours from another AACSB-accredited MBA program. Students may petition the UTC College of Business and UTC Graduate School for additional transfer hours but a majority of all coursework in a graduate student's program must be taken for graduate credit at UTC. Once official transcripts are submitted and the student is admitted into the UTC Flexible MBA program, the Admissions Office staff will evaluate those past credits and determine if any classes/credits would be transferable into the UTC Flexible MBA program.
Time to completion is typically four semesters or 1.5 years for full-time students and six semesters or 2 years for part-time students.
Graduate classes meet once per week during the fall and spring semesters from 5:30-8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. During the abbreviated summer semesters, two seven-week sessions are held. Courses meet twice a week in the evening from 5:30-8:40 p.m. during summer terms.
A limited number of graduate assistantships are available to graduate students. If you wish to apply, complete a College of Business graduate assistantship application. GA applications may be turned in at any time, but priority application deadlines are the following dates:
Fall Semester: April 1
Spring Semester: October 15
To apply for assistantships outside of UTC's College of Business, contact UTC's Graduate School for an application and more information. In addition, general assistantship information (e.g. eligibilty requirements, application, financial package) can be found on the Graduate School website.
The UTC Graduate School is responsible for admissions, enforcing holds, maintaining official records, processing required forms (i.e. program of study and graduation audit forms).  All advising and program issues should be handled by the Graduate Programs Office for the College of Business.
An application to the Flexible MBA at UTC consists of application to the UTC Graduate School and application to the UTC Flexible MBA Program.  Each entity has a set of admission’s requirements.  Completing both applications, as outlined in the application instructions posted on the MBA application page, fulfills these requirements and ensures applicants have submitted all required documents.

All classes taken and grades received are included in the calculation of the overall undergraduate GPA including any classes that were not passed but earned a letter grade. Additionally, grades are "leveled", dropping pluses and minuses in order to bring all university transcripts to the same grade standard as UTC. Questions concerning how the overall undergraduate GPA or any other applicant GPA is calculated should be directed to the UTC Graduate School at 423-425-4666.

You may still be considered for the Flexible MBA program. In this case, a minimum score of 500 or more on the GMAT is required, as well as a formal admission by exception request and essay explaining why you should be considered for admission. This does not guarantee admission; however, the Admissions Office staff will review your application once complete and make an admission decision.
