Linda is Assistant to the Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences.  She also teaches a First Year Experience course for the University and is an adjunct faculty member at Chattanooga State.  Originally from Cleveland, Tennessee, she has been a resident of Chattanooga for over 30 years.  She has an A.S. from Cleveland State Community College, a B.S. in Psychology (with a minor in Women’s Studies) from UTC, and a M.S. in Educational Psychology (with a concentration in Adult Studies) from UTK. Her duties in the College of Arts & Sciences Include the following: 

  • manages Dean's schedule and appointments
  • annual performance (faculty EDOs, Department Head goals and outcomes)
  • promotion, tenure, reappointment, SPDRs deadlines and related documents
  • development and advancement – scheduling and events
  • coordination of graduate assistants for the college
  • liaison between Dean's office and Provost's office
  • serves as the administrative assistant for candidate searches
