Advising Process

For the first and second semester, your advising occurs in the Center for Academic Support and Advisement (CASA) located on the third floor of the library. Students majoring in Art, French, Music, Spanish or Theater are advised for the first year in their respective departments. For more information, please contact our office at hubadvise@utc.edu or 423-425-1315.

Advising occurs in the College, in partnership with your academic department and the hub, located on the second floor of Lupton Hall, 201. Students may also be assigned a faculty mentor, who can help you explore research/internship opportunities, provide guidance for career/graduate school and answer questions specific to the academic program.

Your MyMocsNet account includes a link to your MyMocsDegree, which is a tool (degree audit) to help you track your progress to degree completion. Your advisor should be listed in the top section titled Comprehensive Checklist where you will find your name, UTC ID, classification and Advisor’s name. If your MyMocsDegree does not have an advisor listed, please email the student success center at hubadvise@utc.edu.
