2017-2018 School-Based Professional Development Programs
CRC history and civic professional development (PD) focuses strongly upon providing participants with solid academic knowledge of key historical events and understanding of critical history, civic, and economics concepts that are crucial for informed and reflective citizenship.
In 2017 and 2018, the CRC coordinated and provided session leaders in six school-based PD workshops that 50 educators from three schools attended. The 2017-2018 school-based professional development sessions were all devoted to strengthening participant ability to teach the history and civic components of, arguably, the richest elementary and middle school liberal arts curriculum in the nation; the E.D.
