Understanding AP and Dual Enrollment
Below is some helpful information about transferring AP and Dual Enrollment credits to UTC.
AP, or Advanced Placement, Courses are college-level courses that a student can take in high school. After completing the course, students take an AP Exam. The score on the exam determines the earned college credit.
Please note: UTC cannot accept proof of college level credit from high school transcripts. Instead, students must send their AP score information from the organizer of the exam (i.e., College Board).

Dual Enrollment refers to the college level courses students take while in high school. The classes can be on a college campus or at the actual high school.
Please note: UTC cannot accept proof of college level credit from high school transcripts. Instead, students must send their Dual Enrollment transcripts from the higher institution that granted them (i.e., Chattanooga State Community College, Nashville State Community College, etc.).
