Refund Policy

Once payment for services or programs are received, partial refunds may be given to cancellations with written notifications prior to 48 hours before the event.  There is a $50.00 or 50% charge (50% for services that are equal or lesser value than $100.00) for withdrawing from a trip, course or class.  Down payments or deposits for all rentals are non-refundable (example: pool parties).  Memberships are non-transferable.  Membership cancellations will only be accepted in writing.  Any unused portion of memberships are subject to a pro-rated refund, if the member follows the refund request process.  Guest passes are non-refundable once purchased on-line or in person.  Programs/services may be cancelled due to a minimum number of participants not being met or inclement weather.  In this case, a full refund may be issued. 

All cancellations for Campus Recreation programs/events will not be refunded if the Campus Recreation Department has not been contacted at least 48 hours prior to the program/event.  This policy includes no shows and fees paid in advance for trips, clinics, classes, and facility reservations/rentals.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid (3 courses available)

Location: Aquatic and Recreation Center - Conference Room
First Aid - learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns; cuts; head, neck and back injuries and more.
CPR/AED - Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) Adult and infant and child CPR  is taught in this course. 2 year certification.

Lifeguarding (Full Course - 7 available)

Price: $225
Location: ARC Pool
To enroll in this course you must be at least 15 years old by the last class of the course. To participate in the course you must be able to swim 300 yards continuously and retrieve a 10 pound weight from 10 feet of water, tread water for 2 minutes without arms or hands. Includes CPR/AED and First Aid. 2 year certification.

Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Course

Instructor candidates will learn to teach infant, preschool swim lessons, and all 7 levels of the learn to swim program, as well as community water safety and first aid. Must be 16 years old and able to swim all strokes.

Lifeguarding Review Course (3 available)

The Review course is designed to review the lifeguarding skills and core knowledge points required to recertify in lifeguarding. 2 year certification.  To participate in the review course, the individual must possess and provide proof of a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First aid/CPR/AED certificate or and American Red Cross
Lifeguarding/First aid/CPR/AED certificate expired by no more than 30 days.

Prerequisite: Current Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED
Note: If the Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate is expired by more than 30 days, participants must take the full Lifeguarding course.
