Degree Tract: Thesis

Advisor: Dr. Thomas P. Wilson

Research Interests: The primary thread of my thesis research is focused on ecology and microhabitat use by Plethodon dorsalis in the Tennessee River Gorge. Such small salamanders can be difficult to document through marked recapture, so my secondary goal is to streamline computer assisted image identification that avoids leaving physical marks or trackers on these sensitive animals. I also volunteer with annual freshwater turtle surveys, and Turtle Assurance Colonies.
