Integrating Dance

Workshops for teachers & students

Dance can be integrated with many other disciplines with integrity for learning in targeted content areas. Lessons are based on a conceptual framework to enable students to engage in 21st Century skills and apply the tenants of integration to their learning. They following are some dance integration possibilities, which also be springboards for other residency ideas for you or your students. Possibilities are endless!

Integrating Music

Learn about the issues of practice in integrating music with math, reading, or social studies. The workshop focuses on foundational ideas in designing concept-based music integration lessons, backwards design, assessment tools and strategies, and ways to share the student's work.  The lessons listed below may serve as a focus for a workshop with teachers or as a beginning point for constructing a residency with your students.
