Forum Series attendees who need a place to stay, the Read House Historic Inn & Suites has rooms available at the negotiated rate of $95 per night plus taxes and fees.

What is the role of the arts in an interdisciplinary curriculum?

Call for Proposals

We're seeking input for panel/session topics for Part 2 of our Arts & Education Forum Series, February 26-27, 2015 at the UTC Fine Arts Center. Please submit a panel or session idea in one of the following strands: Artistry, Partnership, and Practice. Your initial proposal should address the following questions:

  1. Why is your session topic relevant?
  2. How does it relate to your selected strand?
  3. If this is panel proposal, what insight will you share with forum attendees? Please provide an overview of your 15-minute response.
  4. If this is a session proposal, how will you facilitate an interactive session with forum attendees. Please provide an overview of your 75-minute session.

Panel and Session Ideas are Due By Friday, December 4th Forum Series Part 2 Topics and Presenters will be announced by December 31st, 2015.

Change Agents in Arts Education and Arts Integration: Where Do We Go Now?

February 26th-27th, 2016, UTC Fine Arts Center

  • Join us as we celebrate what Part 1 Forum attendees implemented in their communities.
  • Panel and session topics will emerge during dialogues stemming from Part 1 of our Forum Series. While this event is a continuation from Part 1 of our Forum Series, we encourage all curious minds and reflective practitioners who are passionate about arts education to attend.
  • Part 2 Forum Attendees will build ideas and burning questions for our 2016-2017 Forum Series.
