The Office of Human Resources seeks to contribute to the University community through the development and administration of effective human resources systems in the areas of employment compensation and benefits, employee relations, personnel record maintenance, and staff training and organizational development. Our object is that such services have the end result of recruiting, retaining, and enhancing the contribution, personal well-being, and satisfaction of individuals who will advance the teaching, research, and public service mission of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Announcement from Linda Hendricks, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer:
A one-Time Bonus will be paid on October 1, 2008 to employees who meet eligiblity guidelines:

Regular employees in an active pay status on October 1, 2008, with three or more years of eligible service will receive a one-time bonus based on the employee's percentage of appointment:
1% - 25% will receive $100.00
26% - 50% will receive $200.00
51% - 75% will receive $300.00
76% - 100% will receive $400.00

The bonus payment will be issued by means of the employee's usual payment method-either by check or direct deposit-and is subject to federal income and social security withholding tax. The bonus is included as compensation for retirement purposes, with the exception of university employees participating in federal retirement plans.

If you have changed your address and/or phone number and have not notified the Office of Human Resources, please email Kathy Taylor and include your Personnel Number (located beneath your name on your payroll advice) and departmental mail code. Taking time to update your records will insure that any information mailed to your home by the State of Tennessee, including insurance, retirement, and other state benefit information, will be correctly routed.
