JHistory
This listserv is a forum for journalism historians that features periodic discussions among scholars, graduate students, and professionals. Jhistory was established in 1994 by David Mindich, now of Saint Michael's College in Vermont.
AJHA
AJHA is the acronym for the American Journalism Historians Association, which was founded in 1981 to promote the teaching and research of journalism history. It sponsors a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal, American Journalism, which is edited by Jim Martin of the University of North Alabama.

Journalists threatened, from Zenger to the present
This site, prepared by the First Amendment Center, lists cases in which U.S. journalists were threatened with jail or faced subpoenas because of their work. The timeline begins with the famous acquittal of John Peter Zenger in 1735 and continues through 2006.
