Rain Location: University Center Auditorium

Why Take Back the Night?

Take Back the Night is an internationally recognized event that is a visible stand against sexual violence, specifically violence against women.  Take Back the Night Chattanooga is free & open to UTC and the Chattanooga community.

As a result of participation in Take Back the Night 2015, participants will be able to:

  1. Define what constitutes power-based violence

  2. Identify campus and community resources for survivors of power-based violence

  3. Articulate one way Title IX is important to their lives

  4. Recognize opportunities to address rape culture

We want to hear your survival story.  This year, we invite campus and community members to anonymously share their survival stories, which will be shared at our candlelight vigil to help other participants and survivors move forward in the healing process.  For more information, visit our anonymous submission form.

We need your help! Volunteer with this event!
