We work with UTC students, faculty, and staff to create videos and television programs that support the university's teaching, research, and service mission.
Our purpose is to serve the entire campus, but we work very closely with several departments in particular. Communication students are involved in the operation of the studio as interns, volunteers, and in classes such as Video I, Video II, and TV News production. The Office of University Relations and other campus groups rely on us for production of commercials and publicity videos. We also work with government agencies and non-profit groups on video productions that give our students valuable hands-on experience.
Our facilities include a broadcast quality studio and post-production edit suite; field production cameras, lighting and microphones; and live broadcasts to campus and on Comcast Cable's Education and Government channel.
