Spring Semester begins January 5
Are you prepared to begin classes in Spring Semester 2004 on Wednesday, January 5? If you have questions, please contact the Records and Registration Office at (423) 425-4416.
Special note to UTC Seniors with an overall GPA of 3.0:
Seniors within 30 semester hours of graduation may apply for admission to UTC graduate courses. You will need to:
- meet the GPA requirement
- the hours requirement
- and have the recommendation of your department head.
- Admission must be approved by the Dean of the Graduate School.
- Also, these hours cannot be counted toward a Masters degree, but it is a chance to earn graduate level hours.
So, if you need a challenging class or are considering graduate/professional school in your future, this is a great time to find out what graduate education is like. Contact the UTC Graduate Office for more information.
Attention: Liberal Arts students who plan to graduate in spring or summer:
The John L. Carey Scholarship is available for Liberal Arts students who wish to study accounting. Seven scholarships are available for students who have a liberal arts background and will study accounting at the graduate level.
These scholarships provide a $5,000 award, and eligibility for one year renewal depending on satisfactory scholastic progress. Applications are available in the UTC Graduate School Office or from AICPA.
The deadline for application is April 1, 2005.
