Author to conduct free publishing seminar

Mark Shaw, author of fifteen books and creator of Books For Life Foundation, the Aspen, Colorado-based literary arts organization dedicated to educating aspiring authors and poets, will conduct his third Chattanooga "How To Become A Published Author or Poet: A to Z" seminar at UTC on Monday, May 24th. There is no charge for the event to be held at 6:30 p.m. in Grote Hall 129.

Authors and poets attending will learn how to decide if their book concept is publishable, how to create storytelling ideas, how to improve writing skills, what publishing alternatives are available, how to choose the right literary agent, and why promotion is the writer's best
friend. Self-publishing concepts will also be discussed.
