Hilliard and Vanosdale recognized by Microsoft
Mary Hilliard and Andy Vanosdale were named Microsoft Student Ambassadors. The Microsoft Student Ambassador program recognizes these undergraduate students in technical majors at universities across the United States for their outstanding contributions to their campus technical community. They are two of less than 200 award recipients from across the country.
“Both undergraduates were selected through a process that considered leadership, academic achievement and service to their academic discipline,” according to Dr. Andy Novobilski, Associate Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Computer Science.
Hilliard and Vanosdale are being recognized for their strong technical knowledge of Microsoft developer technologies, and their willingness to share that knowledge with fellow students through campus groups and the online community.
UTC students in this exclusive group were nominated for the award by UTC faculty, including Dr. Joe Dumas, UC Foundation Associate Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator for the Computer Science Department.
