You are invited to the Town & Gown Ball

The second annual Town and Gown Ball is scheduled for April 19, 2002 at The Read House Silver Ballroom in downtown Chattanooga.

Celebrating the partnerships that enable progress for both the UTC campus and the Chattanooga community, the ball is an elegant evening of beautiful music and delicious dining, featuring dancing to the Walt Meyer Orchestra. Cocktails begin at 7 p.m. with dinner following at 8 p.m, black tie optional.

Proceeds from the ball benefit the UTC Classroom Enhancement Fund. Last year’s ball raised more than $30,000.

"Since this event celebrates partnerships, there’s no greater partnership than the one that exists between the University and our students," said Dr. Sue Stacy, UTC professor of management and wife of Chancellor Bill Stacy. Mrs. Stacy also serves as chair of the event. "We want to do something that acknowledges that relationship and improves the quality of education afforded to all students."

To reserve tickets to the Town and Gown Ball, please make your check ($150 per person, $300 per couple) payable to the UTC Classroom Enhancement Fund by April 5 and send to:
