Fingerle named Beta Alpha Psi Accountant of the Year
Rebecca Fingerle, a 1989 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga who has spent her career in the public accounting profession in Chattanooga, was named 2007 Beta Alpha Psi Accountant of the Year and honored at the Beta Alpha Psi Awards Banquet at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
Since 1991, Fingerle has been with Hazlett, Lewis & Bieter, PLLC and specializes in the tax area.
The Etta Kappa Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is a professional, international honors organization for accounting, finance, and information systems majors. Beta Alpha Psi recognizes academic excellence and complements members’ formal education by providing interaction and networking among students, faculty and professionals.
Fingerle has been a volunteer board member and officer for the Chattanooga Track Club, Hope for Chattanooga and Arts and Education Council. She has served in board and officer positions for the Chattanooga Chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and she is President-Elect of the Chattanooga Chapter for 2008. Fingerle is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Chattanooga. She also serves on the UTC Accounting Advisory Board.
“The accounting profession has given me the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses and has also given me the rewards of working with many young people entering the accounting field,” said Fingerle.
