Alpha Society inducts McDaniel, Wolford

Reverend Paul A. McDaniel was recently inducted into The Alpha Society at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and James L. “Bucky” Wolford was inducted as a new alumni member.

The Alpha Scholastic Honor Society is one of the University's oldest and most prestigious honor societies.  Organized on the UTC campus in 1918 to recognize outstanding achievement, The Alpha Society elects new members annually from graduating seniors, faculty, administrators, distinguished alumni and community members.

Students inducted at the ceremony included Bethany Andrews, April Baer, Clarisa Barnes, Andrew Basler, Jennifer Chastain, Nathan Dalton, Lauren Deloach, Jessica Dickson, Erica Eberle, John Exum, Erica Farnsworth, Dorothy Faust, Mallory Hacker, Tiffany Hagar, Gabrielle Haston, Kimberly Holte, Jessica Lofty, Sarah Prince, Darris Saylors, Leslie Shealy, Lanetta Shipley, Charles Slater, Kevin Terry, Katherine Testerman, Linda Tran, Kelly Urbanek, and Rachel “Lydia” Wilson. 

New faculty inductees included Dr. Neslihan Alp, Dr. Elizabeth Gailey, Matthew Greenwell, Dr. Gregory Heath, Dr. Linda Johnston, Dr. Charles Knight, Dr. Kyle Knight, Dr. Margaret Kovach, Theresa Liedtka, Dr. Deborah McAllister, Dr. Sean Richards, Dr. Joanie Sompayrac, and Dr. Valerie Taylor.

Dr. Richard Brown, Chuck Cantrell, Terry Denniston and Jina Johnson were among administration and staff members who were inducted.
