SGA President Amy Prevost reminds students that April 3-7 is Drunk Driving Awareness Week, and that ACE and SGA are hosting Spring Fest on April 6. Apollo Night is April 12th at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. Apollo Night is free to all students.
The 2006 Student Leadership Awards Banquet will be held Tuesday, April 18th, 7:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga Room of the University Center. The guest speaker for this event is Ruth Brinkley, CEO/President of Memorial Hospital. Packets for groups and individuals are available in Student Development, on the top floor of the University Center. All individuals and groups are encouraged to apply for the awards; packets due dates have been extended to April 4th at 5 p.m. to Student Development.
Awards will be given in recognition of the contributions and achievements of outstanding individuals and group leadership on campus, along with the presentation of the Charles M. Renneisen Leadership Scholarship and the Richard E. MacDougall Leadership Scholarship. Some awards include: Residence Life Award, Leadership Merit Award, Fine Arts Leadership Award, Athletics Leadership Award, Outstanding Contribution to Student Publication, and the Chancellor’s Award. Seven groups will receive awards.
