“Rush 101:  All About Fraternities” will be held Wednesday, September 6 at 8  p.m. in the University Center Auditorium.  The meeting will provide interested students with an overview of Fall Rush 2006: A Life Changing Experience to be held September 10-15. Rush begins with Room Rotation on Sunday, September 10 at 6 p.m. in the UC Auditorium.

Each semester, the Interfraternity Council hosts Fraternity Rush for the seven national fraternities at UTC.

“Rush is a time when the young men at UTC can meet and get to know fraternity men by attending non-alcoholic events hosted by the fraternities,” said Damon L. Scott, President of the Interfraternity Council.  “During that time students may be offered a bid, which is an invitation to join a particular fraternity. If they decide to accept the bid, they will start a journey in life that will live with them forever and that will connect them with men around the world.”

Questions about specific fraternities will not be answered at the September 6 event, however, fraternity members will answer specific questions during Rush Week.

Interested students should fill out a Registration Form for Fall Rush. The forms are available for pick up and drop off at Student Development on the 3rd Floor of the University Center. The forms are due on September 6.
