Prevost named Interim Vice Chancellor at UTC
Hubert L. Prevost Jr., Director of Cooperative Education, International Programs, and National Student Exchange has been named Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Development by Chancellor Roger Brown.
“Hugh has focused his career at UTC on helping students to develop their educational opportunities beyond the classroom and to value the overall college experience,” said UTC Chancellor Roger Brown. “I believe he will work closely and cooperatively with the current Deans, Directors and staff members in Student Development to build upon their outstanding record of serving students with the ultimate goal of their academic, social, and career success.”
Prevost joined the UTC administration in 1986. He has counseled, advised and recommended undergraduate and graduate students for career related co-op job opportunities, while cultivating relationships with local, regional, and national public, private and governmental agencies to ensure their cooperation in program development.
Through Prevost’s efforts with administrators from Kangnung National University in Gandwon-do, Korea, a group of students seeking to perfect their English skills and absorb a new cultural experience visited the UTC campus for six weeks last spring semester.
He replaces Dr. Mary Lynn Williamson, who has resigned recently for health reasons.
