Informational Forum on Homelessness--November 27

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Student Informational Forum on Homelessness will be held Monday, November 27, 8 p.m., at the UTC University Center Auditorium.

The purpose of the forum is to provide an educational opportunity for students to learn about the issue of homelessness in Chattanooga. The forum is sponsored by the UTC Office of Student Development and the UTC Student Government Association (SGA).

The forum will be moderated by Dr. Dee Dee Anderson, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students. The City of Chattanooga and The Citizens for Real Homeless Solutions will represent their positions on the plight of the homeless in Chattanooga.

Each presenter will have 10 minutes to present the issues in an introductory speech.

After the introductory speeches, questions will be received only from student members of the audience. Questions will be written on note cards and will be chosen by the assistant moderator.

Thirty minutes will be allotted for questions and answers. Each representative will have three minutes to answer each question presented. Representatives will address their answers directly to the students, as there will be no debating between representatives.

At the conclusion of the question/answer period, each representative will have five minutes to present a summary statement. The representative that presented first in the introductory statements will present last during the conclusion.

Signs, banners, unsolicited questions and comments will not be permitted at the forum.
